#Viddl is a mobile service aimed at creating short videos that help promote your business in social networks.
Create attractive videos for Instagram & Facebook.

We create video templates that will help you produce videos faster and with better quality.
All templates are target oriented to:

“We are now able to operate anywhere in the world, from any location, at any time and potentially with any device. #VIDDL is cost-effective, highly scalable and available.”

CTO, UAB Nesus

This is brilliant!

Each of these environments is isolated from the others and has capability to deliver future applications that would be both Highly Available and Elastic in nature, scalable, and swift to deploy. Each environment was designed to be highly available, and is built across 3 Availability Zones (AZ) within an AWS Region, so that in the event of one, or even two AZ failures, VIDDL services will still be available. Packer was used to speed up the responsiveness of scaling events to pre-build Amazon Machine Images (AMI) for the instances. This let us build in software updates, monitoring tools and auditing configuration into the images, reducing the start-up time for a new instance to a few minutes with code-deployment. In the event of any problems during the deployment, AWS CodeDeploy will ‘roll back’ the deployment and allow for log analysis to determine the problem. As all Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) instances within the environment are in AWS AutoScaling groups, they are able to recover from failure within a few minutes and ensure that defined minimum levels of EC2 instances are always available to serve end users.

We guaranteed that in case of failure the infrastructure will be recreated and used within 5 minutes. We installed the trusted cloud security service of AWS WAF and CloudWatch across the environment to ensure security is continually monitored and secured. This leverages the service orientated approach to security, combined with leading security.

CloudWatch is a monitoring and management service built for developers, system operators, and IT managers. CloudWatch provides UAB Nesus with data and actionable insights to monitor the applications, understand and respond to system-wide performance changes, optimize resource utilization, and get a unified view of operational health.

We have installed and configured AWS CloudTrail. The service enables governance, compliance, operational auditing, and risk auditing of UAB Nesus AWS account. With CloudTrail, the company logs, continuously monitors, and retains account activity related to actions across the AWS infrastructure. CloudTrail provides event history of the AWS account activity, including actions taken through the AWS Management Console, AWS SDKs, command line tools, and other AWS services. This event history simplifies security analysis, resource change tracking, and troubleshooting. We have installed and configured Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) – an object storage service that offers industry-leading scalability, data availability, security, and performance this allows #VIDDL users to receive high-quality media content in seconds all over the world.

The Outcome

We delivered a robust Cloud infrastructure which now supports The #VIDDL services. The new infrastructure can respond to demand changes quickly, is highly resilient in case of any failures as well as meeting security requirements. Using the Cloud means that the VIDDL do not have to maintain hardware that is unused for large parts of the year, but can instead add and remove resources quickly and easily as demand fluctuates, whilst paying as they use. The scripted nature of the environments means that testing new features can be done faster, without disruption to existing work.
